Tragic Struck as 1 confirmed dead in Lagos, Nigeria.

Burnt Building in Ilogbo-Elegba, Ojo L.G.A. Lagos, Nigeria

1 Confirmed dead in what happened to be the second painful fire incident experienced by those living in Ilogbo-Elegba area of Ajangbadi, Ojo LGA.

The fire outbreak was caused as a result of a gas leak. The gas leak came from one of the tenants kitchen whose children lit a matchstick without noticing the leak from her gas pipe. They raised an alarm immediately, in trying to put off the fire by every means necessary, it spread through all other part of the building.

An old woman, a stroke patience (with age unknown) who happens to be inside when the fire started was said to have been  killed by the smoke from the fire before her skin was roasted in the fire with just her bones and ash remaining.

According to her grandchildren, she was sleeping when the fire broke out, they ran outside of the house leaving their grandmother alone in the house when the fire started. No one knew she was in because her grandchildren didn't raise an alarm nor seek for help due to the shock.

A tenant was said to be joint in her holy matrimony September 9th 2017 lost her wedding materials and the sum of N500,000 budgeted for the wedding was lost in the fire. Tears are currently running through the eyes of many as; 15 people are currently displaced as a result of the incident.

When will our country learn and put things in other? Must we all die before our true worth and value will be seen?

It is such a shame that until this moment our country has no value for life. Fire fighters who arrived at the seen said they hard no water in their tank to stop the fire from spreading further. While looking for alternative means to fill their tank with water, 1 life was taken. No wonder Africans would rather endure shame and suffering from foreigners than live in a country where life has no value.

The tenant whose children are said to be responsible for the fire outbreak are currently under police custody.

Stay tune for further updates...
